As part of Fieragricola 2026, taking place in Verona from 4 to 7 February, the IDEAgri Network, in collaboration with CAI Agromec, is organising the event AGRI-TALK – The Digitalisation of Agricultural Data as a Working Tool.
The event will be held on Thursday, 5 February 2026, from 3:45 PM to 5:00 PM, in the Forum Area – Hall 3, Tech Forum Blu, and will be moderated by Ivano Valmori (Member of the Accademia dei Georgofili – Image Line / AgroNotizie).
The Agri-Talk initiative was conceived as a forum for discussion among agricultural contractors, farmers, agricultural machinery manufacturers, and innovation stakeholders, starting from the results of a survey addressed to CAI Agromec contractors.
The data collected show a strong interest in digital technologies, but also highlight concrete challenges: limited interoperability, system fragmentation, and difficulties in transforming data into operational value.
The talk will address these issues directly, focusing on:
- Inter-brand interoperability of field data;
- Agronomic valorisation of data to improve efficiency, traceability, and sustainability;
- The evolving role of agricultural contractors and dealers, increasingly oriented towards advisory services.
Speakers:
- Marco Speziali (CAI Agromec) – Agricultural contracting today: the needs of contractors and data management;
- Nicola Gherardi (Agricultural expert and entrepreneur) – How farms are adapting and evolving;
- Antonio Salvaterra (Argo Tractors) – The tractor as a data collection hub;
- Camilla Racioppa (xFarm Technologies) – How data are actually used today: real-world examples.
The event is part of the mission of the IDEAgri Network, a consortium of companies that promotes dialogue among the various actors of the agri-food supply chain, with the aim of making digitalisation concrete, interoperable, and truly applicable in the field.
